OUR STORY

Currumbin Academy of Performing Arts (CAPA) was founded with a simple vision, to create a place where young people could grow not only as dancers, but as confident and kind individuals.

For over a decade, CAPA has been a home for students who love to move, create and express themselves. What began as a small dance school has grown into a vibrant community of dancers, teachers and families who share a passion for performing arts and personal growth.

At CAPA, we believe dance is about more than learning steps. It’s about building confidence, resilience, friendships and a true sense of belonging. Every class supports strong technique while encouraging creativity, individuality and self-belief.

Self Love

We encourage every dancer to believe in themselves, celebrate their progress and feel proud of who they are.

Respect

Students learn to respect their teachers, teammates and themselves, creating a positive and supportive learning space.

Community

CAPA is more than a studio. It’s a family that lifts one another up while creating lifelong friendships and memories.

Under the leadership of Miss Kimberly Wood, CAPA continues to grow while staying true to the heart of what makes the studio special: a supportive environment where every student feels seen, valued and encouraged to reach their potential.

Whether a child is taking their very first class or working toward advanced training and performance opportunities, CAPA is a place where dancers feel inspired, supported and proud to belong.
